Product Overview - Candelilla wax LT281 is a vegetable wax and is found in the form of scales covering a reed like plant growing in Texas and Mexico. It is used as a hardener in cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations , a polishing agent for dried vegetables and candies , a release agent for sweets and pastries , as a coating of lemons ,grapefruit , oranges and apples and as an additive in chewing gum. If added to other waxes it increases their melting point , hardness and toughness. It is compatible with natural waxes , fatty acid , glycerides etc and is easily dispersed in hot solvents . Candelilla Wax LT281 is a bleached grade for food ,cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications , it is additionally extracted and shows an improved compatibility to mineral waxes and vegetable oils.
