2M Holdings Ltd (London, UK) are delighted to announce the acquisition of Surfachem Ltd (Leeds, UK) from its shareholders Mr. Utrick Alexander and 3i.

Nichole Hall will be the Managing Director and will be well supported by her excellent and long term colleagues: Michelle, Phil, Ashley, Paul, Fakhara and Bruce. Supported by the new shareholders, Surfachem will continue to expand and go forward in the manner that is expected from its customers and suppliers.

Utrick Alexander will continue to be involved and support the Surfachem management team for the next 12 months.

Nichole will be joined on the board by Mottie Kessler as Chairman and Ieuan Thomas as non-Executive Director.

Founded by Mr. Alexander 26 years ago, Surfachem is the leading distributor of Surfactants in the UK, this expertise has enabled it to expand in export markets with a marked degree of success.

2M is a holding company formed by Ieuan Thomas and Mottie Kessler which owns Banner Chemicals Group, the leading chemical distributor and supplier in the UK for over 147 years. Banner business focus is solvents, speciality chemicals for paint and coatings, chemicals for oil field applications, precision engineering and electronic degreasing chemicals and many more. Banner group also owns MP Storage & Blending at Middlesbrough UK, a Teesside company involved in chemical services.

Both Surfachem and Banner Chemicals are established leaders in their market sectors. The two companies will be independently managed within the 2M group allowing them to further develop their specialist skills.
