Product Name - Surfawax SW/BP Sterile
Product Overview - Surfawax SW/BP STERILE is a self emulsifying wax based on cetostearyl alcohol and sodium lauryl sulphate, used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical ointments and creams. Surfawax SW/BP STERILE complies with the 2009 British and European Pharmacopoeia, incorporating the requirements of the 6th edition of the European Pharmacopoeia as amended by Supplements 6.1 and 6.2 for Emulsifying Cetostearyl Alcohol (Type B). Surfawax SW/BP STERILE is repacked as part of the irradiation procedure, it is tested against the pharmacopoeia before it goes through this process. It is not retested tested against the pharmacopoeia after it has been irradiated.
